On day 4 of our tour, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to the meeting point to meet your fellow travelers. After introductions, our friendly tour guide will outline the day's itinerary before we embark on a full-day exploration of Phnom Penh.
Our first stop will be at Wat Ounaloam Monastery, the oldest Buddhist pagoda in Phnom Penh, dating back to 1443. We will then visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, both important landmarks in the city. Next, we will explore Wat Phnom, the central and most significant temple in Phnom Penh.
We will also visit the bustling Central Market, where you can shop for a variety of goods ranging from souvenirs to seafood. After lunch, we will visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former high school turned prison during the Khmer Rouge regime.
If time allows, we will also visit the Phsar Toul Tom Phuong "Russian Market" before heading to the chilling Killing Fields at Choeung Ek, where thousands of individuals were executed during the Khmer Rouge era.
We will drop you off back at your hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner will be on your own, and you will have the evening free to relax and unwind.
